Balancers

Pool water balancers are used to adjust and maintain proper chemical levels in the water. Balanced water protects pool equipment, surfaces, and ensures all other chemicals work effectively.

When to use a Balancer

  • When water test results are outside the recommended ranges
Balancers adjust pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and stabilizer levels.

  • If chlorine isn’t working effectively
Improperly balanced water can make sanitizers less effective, even when levels appear normal.

  • When swimmers experience eye, skin, or nose irritation
Imbalanced pH or alkalinity often causes discomfort.

  • If water appears cloudy despite proper sanitation
Poor balance can prevent filtration and chemicals from working correctly.

  • To protect pool surfaces and finishes
Balanced water helps prevent etching, staining, scaling, and discoloration.

  • To prevent damage to pool equipment
Corrosive or scale-forming water can shorten the life of heaters, pumps, and plumbing.

  • After adding large amounts of water
Fresh water from rain or refilling can throw chemical levels off balance.

  • As part of routine weekly maintenance
Regular balancing keeps water stable and prevents problems before they start.

Problems Algaecides Correct

  • Eye and skin irritation

  • Cloudy or unstable water

  • Corrosion of metal components

  • Scale buildup on tile and equipment

  • Ineffective chlorine performance

  • Stained or damaged pool surfaces
